Troubleshoot Transcript to Minutes

If MinuteTaker can’t prepare minutes from a transcript, use the matching steps below.

If Prepare Minutes is unavailable

Make sure Your Transcript contains conversation text. Paste it again or pick a readable text file. If your Transcript to Minutes allowance is exhausted, see Understand Transcript to Minutes limits under Related articles below.

If the transcript is too large

A transcript can contain up to 500,000 characters and 4,000 lines. Shorten it or split it into smaller sections, then try again.

If preparation fails or takes a long time

Check your connection and keep Create from Transcript open until Preparing Minutes finishes. After a server error, wait and retry. A failed server generation automatically returns the reserved use.

If the AI draft needs correction

Review and edit names, dates, decisions, and action items before sharing. A clearer transcript with speaker names may improve the result. Preparing another draft uses another Transcript to Minutes use.

If the problem continues, contact support and include the exact error message, your app version, and your MinuteTaker Purchaser ID. You don’t need to send the transcript unless you choose to.
