Understand documents, meetings, and action items

MinuteTaker organizes your work in four levels: Document → Meeting minutes → Action item → Attachment.

A document is the file you open in MinuteTaker. Create one document for a subject you return to, such as a project, recurring team meeting, or customer. A document can contain multiple sets of meeting minutes, so you usually don’t need a new document for every meeting.

Meeting minutes describe one meeting

Each set of meeting minutes belongs to a document. It contains the meeting title, date, time, attendees, location, and the action items recorded during that meeting.

Action items capture individual points

In MinuteTaker, an action item is a structured entry within meeting minutes. Use one for a task, decision, statement, question, or other discussion point. It can include a Title / Keyword, detailed notes, an assignee, a due date, tags, and a status.

Attachments add supporting material

Attachments belong to an action item. Add a photo or file to keep supporting material with the point it relates to.
